Africa Public Private Partnerships: Climate for Investment & Development

For a couple of years now, Neoedge has been conducting Public Private Partnerships (PPP) events in and around Africa. Recently, Neoedge has successfully gathered all the relevant PPP units, Ministries, and financiers through the Africa Public Private Partnerships (PPP): Investment & Development Summit 2014.

Held at the Labadi Beach Resort, in Accra, Ghana, from 20th to 23rd October 2014, all delegates, panellists and speakers instantly became one big united community, ready to lead, administer and find solutions in the infrastructure challenges that the African region is currently facing.

While key factors like capacity building and government commitment were addressed triumphantly for project bankability, and through Neoedge’s interactive event format, the summit had underscored the challenges pointed out and have created solutions to overcome such challenges in Public Private Partnerships.

When asked about the most important value that the summit has brought about, Mr. Thomas Ooi, Director at Neoedge, proudly shared: “The event has truly helped in making a better climate for investment and development in Africa. I believe that through capacity building, there is no hindrance in the realisation of the big potentials that Africa have.”

The event’s Cocktail Reception was proudly sponsored by the leading legal and strategic advisory firm, N. Dowuona & Company. This Ghana-based company continues its quest to help its clients in identifying and managing its legal as well as commercial risks.

It is a delight to inform you that Neoedge’s Capacity Building for PPP Projects & Procurement Contracts Management Forum will be happening on 24th-27th March 2015 in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is a part of the 2nd Africa Public Private Partnerships (PPP): Investment & Development Summit 2015 which is scheduled to be in September 2015 in West Africa. Its main theme would be: “Optimising PPP’s Role in Africa Infrastructure and Social Development.”

This is set to once again gather the key Ministries in the region, to meet and talk with a number of financiers, investors and other relevant PPP players. Neoedge is now open to register early participants and sponsors for this summit. Interested event sponsors will have more diverse investment opportunities this time round.
